Cancellation policy
Last updated 29 August 2026
These are the deposit terms for every space on Table for Forty. You are shown them before you pay, and they are repeated in your confirmation email. They form part of our Terms of Service.
The terms
Deposits are fully refundable up to 7 days before your event date. Within 7 days of the event, deposits are non-refundable, but may be applied to a rescheduled date within 90 days, subject to availability (rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the original event). All deposits count toward your food & beverage minimum, or toward the total cost of your booking where the Space is offered as a space rental. To cancel or reschedule, reply to your booking email or use My Bookings on officialfoodgroup.com — the venue confirms every change.
How to cancel or reschedule
Reply to any email we sent you about the booking, or open My Bookings and share the request from there. There is no cancel button on this site, on purpose: whether a change is a cancellation or a reschedule, and what that means for your deposit, is a decision the restaurant confirms — and routing it through the platform keeps your deposit record and the decision in one place.
Tell them as early as you can. Almost every good outcome here comes from more notice.
Who decides
The restaurant does. Table for Forty is the booking intermediary: we collect the deposit and we issue whatever refund the restaurant instructs, but we do not decide eligibility and we do not overrule the restaurant's judgement about its own room.
A restaurant may be more generous than these terms require. It may not be less generous than what it agreed with you.
How a refund reaches you
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. We cannot send them anywhere else.
- Once issued, your bank usually posts it within 5–10 business days.
- Full and partial refunds are both possible; a partial refund leaves the rest of the deposit held against your booking.
- You will get an email when a refund is issued, and your original payment link will show the new state.
If the restaurant cancels
If a restaurant cancels a booking it had accepted, it will email you, and any refund it instructs is processed the same way. If a deposit was paid but the restaurant can no longer hold the date, your payment page will say so plainly rather than showing the booking as confirmed.
Changes to this policy
If these terms change, the version on this page is the current one. Changes are not retroactive: the terms you were shown when you paid are the terms that govern your booking.
